NMC’s former Moharil booked for Rs 42 lakhs fraud

Nagpur News : A week after Ambazari police has booked former NMC accountant Deepak Patil for the fraud of Rs 7.42 lakhs, another former NMC employee, Deepak Ramteke, was booked by Dhantoli police for the fraud of Rs 42 lakhs.

Patil, when employed as a tax collector at Dharampeth NMC office from December 2008 to July 2011, had reshuffled the collection amount in his relative’s account committing the fraud of Rs 7.42 lakhs.

According to Dhantoli police, Ramteke, when employed as Moharil at Dhantoli NMC Zone 4 office during April 2009 to March 31, did not deposit the collection revenue in NMC’s account and instead misuse it for his personal use.

Police informed that few months before, Ramteke was suspended for his involvement in the revenue scam of Rs 57 lakhs.
