NMC’s drive clears encroachments in Nehru Nagar Zone, recovers Rs 25,500 fine

The Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s (NMC) Enforcement Department carried out an anti-encroachment drive in Nehru Nagar Zone-5. The drive was undertaken mainly Gurudeo Nagar Square to Jagnade Square and S D Hospital to Sangam Talkies to Gajanan Square to Sakkardara Square. All the encroachments on these roads were removed or demolished. The illegal construction  in front of Gavai Hospital. Similarly,16 hand carts were removed and four tin shed were demolished. A collective fine of Rs 25,500 was recovered during the drive.

During the drive many encroachments either from footpath/road were removed like tea stalls, “paan thelas”, eatable stalls, fruit thelas, juice thelas, vegetable shops, sheds, car bazaars, furniture shops, tiles shops, flowe and garland shops etc totaling 45 encroachments.

The drive was undertaken under the guidance of Assistant Commissioner Harish Raut, Krushnakumar Hedau, Deputy Engineer, Public Works Department, other employees of concerned departments and police.
