NMC students to add patriotic fervour to R-Day celebrations at KP

Nagpur: The 77th Republic Day of India will be celebrated with grandeur at Kasturchand Park (KP) in Nagpur on January 26 at 9 am, under the chairmanship of State Revenue Minister and Nagpur Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule. A key highlight of the state-level celebration will be the active participation of students from schools run by the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC).

Students of NMC’s Sanjay Nagar Secondary School will present a vibrant patriotic dance performance, with a troupe of 110 students set to perform to patriotic songs, evoking national pride and unity. In addition, students from Sanjay Nagar Secondary School and NMC’s Vivekanand Nagar Hindi Secondary School will participate in the ceremonial march-past.

Under the guidance of NMC Commissioner and Administrator Dr Abhijit Chaudhari, the programme is being coordinated by Additional Commissioner Vaishnavi B., with Education Officer Sadhana Sayam overseeing preparations. As part of the march-past, 30 students each from Sanjay Nagar Secondary School and Vivekanand Nagar Hindi Secondary School will take part.

Rehearsals for the cultural performance and march-past have been successfully completed, and an atmosphere of excitement and enthusiasm prevails among the participating students. The involvement of NMC school students is expected to lend a youthful and patriotic spirit to the Republic Day celebrations.
