Nagpur: Two young entrepreneur brothers from Nagpur have turned passion into applause, talent into triumph, and local flavours into a national conversation. Ajinkya and Vikram Gandhe have made the city proud by storming their way into the finals of Sony TV’s popular culinary reality show, MasterChef India.
Their inspiring journey has earned praise from none other than Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, who congratulated the duo through a special video message, lauding their achievement and the pride they have brought to Nagpur.
Sons of renowned educationists Mohan and Aparna Gandhe, the brothers scripted their success without any formal culinary training. What they lacked in classrooms, they more than made up for with curiosity, experimentation and relentless practice.
At 31, Vikram Gandhe studied at B R A Mundle School and City Premier College, while 29-year-old Ajinkya completed his schooling at Narayan Vidyalaya before pursuing architecture at IDEAS, Nagpur. Neither began with professional kitchens, but both ended up commanding one of the country’s biggest culinary stages.
Their mastery of baking and gastronomy evolved through self-learning, countless trials, and an unshakeable belief in their craft. Today, the brothers successfully run a café in Nagpur, translating their vision into flavours loved by locals and now admired nationwide.
On MasterChef India, Ajinkya and Vikram are doing more than cooking, they are championing Maharashtrian culture, reviving traditional techniques, and showcasing regional flavours with contemporary flair. With every dish, they are proving that roots and innovation can rise together.
As the finale approaches, Nagpur watches with pride as its homegrown talents serve not just food, but a story of grit, creativity and inspiration, one plate at a time.
