NMC school, Samaj Bhavan named after Late Gopalrao Motghare, Late Gayadin Painter

Nagpur: The naming ceremony of NMC’s Khadan Hindi Higher Primary School and Samaj Bhavan was held at the hands of Mayor Pravin Datke on Thursday. The school was named Late Gopalrao Motghare Hindi Higher Primary School and the Samaj Bhavan was named as Late Gayadin Painter Sanskrutik Bhavan.

Late Gopalrao Motghare and Late Gayadin Painter strived hard for overall development of weaker sections of society. Both were social reformers in true sense, said Mayor Datke while naming the school and Samaj Bhavan after the two great personalities.

In his presidential speech, MLA Vikas Kumbhare remembered the outstanding contribution of both the reformists for services towards citizens of Jyoti Nagar and Khadan areas. People should derive inspiration from works of Late Motghare and Late Painter, Kumbhare said.

MLA Krushna Khopde, Ruling Party Leader Dayashankar Tiwari also spoke on the occasion. Presnt on the occasion include Maniramji Prajapati, NMC Education Officer Farooq Ahmed Khan, social activist Vijay Motghare, Bhoi Samaj Panchkameti President Ramesh Gaur, Khadan School Headmistress Vimla Khubnani, Mohan Armarkar and others.
