Nagpur: On the occasion of World Environment Day, Nagpur Municipal Corporation and Green Vigil Foundation organized a panel discussion and interactive session at Town Hall , with students of NMC school, on various issues related to environment such as global warming, acid rain, climate change, conservation of natural resources, depleting green cover, switching over to renewable energy, recycle & reuse, plastic free Nagpur, solid waste management, green living practices.
Hon. Mayor of Nagpur city Praveen Datke were the chief guest of the program. Among other dignitaries present on dais were Smt. Chetna Tank, Smt. Neeta Thakre, Gautam Patil, Ashok Talatule .
Members of Green Vigil Foundation presented various acts depicting various environmental concerns which made the interactive session more enjoyable for the students.
Sudhir Koramkar of NMC Co-ordinated the program and Kaustav Chatterjee, Co-Founder , Green Vigil Foundation conducted the group discussion and acts.
Members of Green Vigil Daksha Borkar, Mehul Kosurkar , Hemant Amesar, Bishnudeo Yadav, Viswajit Paikrao, Nzma Khan, Sheetal Choudhary, Kalyani Vaidya, Niesh Munghate, Kumaresh Tikadar, Khushbu Deshmukh, Sruti Baraskar , Samyak Kamble and staff of education department of NMC worked hard for the success of the program.
