OCW gets award for contribution in NMC’s “Save Nag River” campaign
Nagpur: It’s Another feather in the cap of Orange City Water. The Nagpur Municipal Corporation felicitated Orange City Water for its outstanding contribution and participation in the ambitious “Save Nag River” campaign during Independence Day celebration programme organised at NMC HO, Civil Lines on Monday.
It may be recalled here almost 250 employees of Orange City Water (OCW) participated and supported the ‘Save Nag River ‘campaign by forming a human chain from Nagpur University Library square to Matrusewa Sangh square during NMC’s Save Nag River Campaign. OCW also participated in Seminar, discussions organised for Save Nag River campaign organised by various Media groups in city.
On behalf of NMC Mayor Pravin Datke felicitated OCW CEO Sanjoy Roy, Director HR/PR KMP Singh, and Deputy Director (O&M) Rajesh Kalra with shawl, shriphal and memento.
Municipal Commissioner Shrawan Hardikar, Ruling Party leader Dayashankar Tiwari, Additional municipal commissioner Mr Rizwan Siddiqui, Ravindra Kumbhare were prominently present on the occasion.
Further, recently highlighting its commitment towards better, cleaner and water wealthy Nagpur, OCW also participated in cleaning of Ambazari Lake and the surrounding area which was an initiative NMC.
OCW Employees enthusiastically cleaned the part of Ambazari Dam opposite Crazy Castle. Serving their duty as responsible Nagpurians, OCW Staff were led by the Chief Executive Officer, Sanjoy Roy.
OCW has also taken up oath to maintain the city clean during the Safety and Water Conservation Week celebrated a couple of months ago. The active participation seen today indicated the employees’ determination in keeping their oath.
The Orange City Water (OCW) is implementing Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMCs) ambitious project of providing fully pressurized, uninterrupted water supply commonly known as ‘24×7 water supply project across city is also participating in various CSR activities like Save Nag River campaign, Swachatta Abhiyan, Tree Plantation drive etc.
