Nagpur: Three tricksters, including a woman, fooled a middle aged woman the curious way and robbed her of gold ornaments worth Rs 26,000. After robbing the foolish woman, the three miscreants vanished from the scene are being searched.
The complainant Parvati Damu Barapatre (45), resident of Bande Nawaz Nagar in Tehsil area, was returning home after work around 1.30 pm on Tuesday. Midway, near Ganpati Glass Shop, Hansapuri, two unidentified men (35-40 years) accosted Parvati and asked her whether she worships Lord Hanuman. As the conversation was going on, a woman aged around 40 also arrived there and told Parvati to remove her gold ornaments and walk 100 steps forward for receiving blessings of god. Parvati did the same. However, when she turned back she could not spot the three tricksters. The con persons vanished from the scene with Parvati’s gold ornaments worth Rs 26,000.
Tehsil API Parteki has booked the three unidentified deceivers under Sections 420, 34 of the IPC and searching for them.
