Nagpur: Local Body Tax department conducted search & seizure operation at M/s Cease Fire Industries Ltd., A-1, Pooja Building, Opposite Canara Bank, Residency Road, Nagpur. The company being Noida based deals in fire fighting equipments. The company is registered under LBT and made purchases worth Rs. 98,97,791 and Rs. 68,13,487 in the financial years 2013-14 and 2014-15 respectively, but has not made any LBT payments till date. The company has also not filed annual return for the financial year 2013-14.
Department has seized purchase and sales data and will verify the same towards fixing of LBT liability, interest and penalty to be recovered from the company.
Another search operation was conducted on the establishment named M/s TCNS Clothing Pvt. Ltd, a Delhi based company. The company deals in Aurelia and ‘W’ brand of ladies readymade garments, imitation jewellery and ladies purse. The company is registered under LBT having principal address at Empress Mall, 1st Floor, Reliance Trendz. The company owns three more outlets within the city which are not declared to LBT department. Total imports made by the company is approximately 89,77,844 since January 2014 till date. The company has also made LBT payments worth Rs. 1.09 lacs. Department has seized purchase bills of all TCNS Clothing Pvt. Ltd outlets and will verify the actual liability on the firm.
The search and seizure action was conducted by LBT Officers Yadav Jambhulkar, Rajesh Meshram and Venkat Jichkar ; Asstt. LBT Officers Lalit Rao, Sanjay Mendhule, Sumer Gajbhiye, Vilas Chahande, Suresh Dhupe, Ramesh Giri, Sanjay Dahikar, Kawalkar and Ramesh Padghan. Junior Inspector Shailesh Bharadwaj, Dhanraj Khandale and Ashok Khobragade; Assistants Jitendra Tomar and Sanjay Moundekar were also part of the operation. The operation was supervised by Assistant Commissioner, Milind Meshram under the able guidance of Hon’ble Municipal Commissioner and Additional Dy. Mpl. Commissioner.
