NMC Commissioner sets up crucial Committee to streamline chaotic e-governance system

Nagpur News: The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) Commissioner Shyam Wardhane, after witnessing the chaotic state of affairs of e-governance, has formed a Coordination and Control Committee in order to streamline the system. The NMC’s almost all departments have been computerized after the civic body started implementing the e-governance system.

The Deputy Commissioner of the General Administration Department (GAD) would be Controlling Officer of the Committee while the City Engineer and Information and Technology Officer would be the Members. The Acting Head of the Civic Services Centre will act as the Member Secretary of the Committee.

The Coordination and Control Committee will submit a monthly report to the NMC Commissioner in connection with the undergoing process of computerization of all Zonal offices, their coordination, control, management and other related issues.

Apart from computerization of Administration departments, the Local Body Tax Department (LBT), Tax System, Health Department, Education Department, Fire Brigade Department, GIS System,  CCTVs, Biometrics, Attendance, Auto DCR  departments have been fully computerized.
