
Nagpur: The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has added 20 new electric vehicles to its fleet to strengthen door-to-door garbage collection across the city. The vehicles were formally inducted during a brief ceremony held at the civic body’s headquarters.
The e-vehicles have been provided by M/s AG Enviro Infra Projects Pvt Ltd, the agency entrusted with door-to-door garbage collection in five city zones — Laxmi Nagar, Dharampeth, Hanuman Nagar, Dhantoli, and Nehru Nagar.
Municipal Commissioner Dr. Abhijeet Chaudhari flagged off the newly inducted vehicles. Additional Municipal Commissioner Vasumana Pant, Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Bhagat, Chief Sanitation Officer Dr. Gajendra Mahalle, AG Enviro President Mahendra Anthula, West Zone In-charge Biju Thomas, Project Director Sameer Tonpe, and Operations In-charge Pravin Chavan were also present on the occasion.
