
Nagpur: In a tragic accident on Monday morning, a 30-year-old man was killed and his wife injured after a speeding trailer rammed into their motorcycle on the Jabalpur Highway near the FLD Hotel, under the jurisdiction of Wathoda Police Station in Nagpur.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as Dashrath Sakharam Zhade (30), a resident of Shetapur, Kuhi tehsil, Nagpur district. On November 3, 2025, around 10.30 am, Zhade and his wife Kavita (25) were travelling on their motorcycle (MH-35 E 8177) when a truck-trailer (MH-40 CT 0415), driven at high speed and in a reckless manner, collided with their vehicle.
The impact caused the couple to fall off the motorcycle. While Kavita sustained injuries to her hand, the trailer’s wheel reportedly ran over Dashrath, leaving him critically injured. Passersby immediately rushed the victims to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared Dashrath brought dead. Kavita is undergoing treatment.
Based on Kavita Zhade’s complaint, Wathoda Police have registered an offence against the trailer driver under Sections 106(1), 281, 125(a), 125(b) of the BNS and Sections 134(a)(b), 177, 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act.
