Nashik Maharashtra News: Five killed in road mishap in Nashik , Mumbai

Nashik: Four people died on the spot after a speeding car hit the auto-rickshaw in which they were travelling in the district, the police said today. The incident took place near Sinnar-Ghoti road, about 40 km from here, an official at the Ghoti police station said.

The deceased were identified as Avinash Dalbhagat (22), Bhaskar Korde (65), Shivram Sarukte (42) and Arjun Sarukte (40).The auto-rickshaw carrying several passengers was going to Umbarkon village last evening when the car coming from the opposite direction collided with it on .The car driver fled and a search was on to nab him, he said.

In another incident of Mumbai, a police constable died in an accident on Eastern Expressway.The accident took place when his car collided with another vehicle in which three members of a family were travelling.

Occupants of the second car were critically injured and case of rash driving was registered against its driver.
