Nagpur’s Dr Sanjeev Chaudhary, only Maharashtrain, makes it to National Health Authority’s Medical Device Committee

Nagpur: Renowned Orthopaedician from Second Capital of the State, Dr Sanjeev Chaudhary has been nominated on a high-level committee of National Health Authority (NHA), part of Health Policy and Quality Assurance Division of Government of India. He is the only one from Maharashtra and Central India to be on the panel.

Dr. Chaudhary has been nominated for his outstanding work in orthopaedics and trauma surgeries.

NHA constituted Medical Device Technical Advisory Committee- Orthopaedics.

The committee plays an important role and is expected to set the specifications and standards for orthopedic implants and devices. The Committee would finalise criteria for companies, manufacturers to be shortlisted or approved for Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojana (PMJAY ).

It will also define the technical specifications for each category of medical devices/implants used under PMJAY.
