CJI Chandrachud to grace first convocation of MNLU in Nagpur on Feb 11

Nagpur: The Chief Justice of India (CJI) D Y Chandrachud will grace the first Convocation Ceremony of the Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU) here, on February 11. CJI D Y Chandrachud will be delivering the convocation address. The ceremony will start at 12 noon at MNLU campus.

Justice Bhushan R Gavai, Judge, Supreme Court of India and the Chancellor of the university, will preside over the function. Justice Sanjay V Gangapurwala, Acting Chief Justice, High Court of Bombay and Pro Chancellor of the university, will also grace the occasion.

Prof Dr Vijender Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of MNLU; and Dr Ashish J Dixit, Registrar, have appealed to the invitees to occupy their seats by 11.30 am.

As per the programme, on arrival of the guests at the MNLU campus, robbing of ceremonial gowns will take place. It will be followed by an academic procession. Prof Dr Vijender Kumar will deliver a welcome address and present the annual report of the university.

After Justice B R Gavai’s address, degrees will be conferred and Gold Medals will be awarded to graduated students.
