Nagpur:
The Maharashtra Legislative Council on Wednesday witnessed an uproar over the demonetisation issue, during the ongoing winter session of state assembly here.

During the question hour, Leader of Opposition in MLC Dhananjay Munde raised the demand for discussion on the issue of note ban. However the government tried to pacify opposition and scheduled the discussion post question hour. On the contrary Munde along with other opposition leaders were adamant to get the issue discussed then and there. The frequent chaos in the legislative council led to the House proceedings adjourned twice.

Later when the issue was tabled for discussion, Munde alleged that the demonetisation has put the whole nation into haywire. Every individual in reeling into cash crunch, he added

He said, “Demonetisation has only affected common people whereas those who have accumulated black money remained affected. The government has put the nation into cash emergency. The decision is being criticised on wide level and the government must have to face the repercussion in the coming times.”

The discussion was on at the time of filing report.
