Nagpur rolls out full on fun for Holi while cops keep a check

Nagpur: The fun and excitement for the splash of colors and splurge of festive delicacies are all set to unleash among revellers as Nagpurians readied themselves for the festive bonanza. On the Holi day on Wednesday, the joy was evident as the youngsters got into smearing colors to one another. Nagpur Today spotted a gang of girls who candidly posed for the picture with their faces painted in pink.

Security in top gear
While the festive folks are crazily collecting their Holi essentials for Dhulivandan the next day, the city police are extra vigilant to avoid any untoward activities. Extra tight security arrangements have been made in view of ongoing election code of conduct.

Various sensitive check points at busy city places are also being closely guarded while the commuters are being passed through breath analyser test to check for drunken driving. The cops have also taken precautionary measures and the known anti-social elements are being taken into preventive custody.

Liquor sale jumps up
The sale of liquor is already ringing the cash registers quite high, while the bhang lovers have secretly fetched their ‘quota’ to unleash masti for the festival of colors. Many others have planned to play up with thandai and organic colors coupled with the doses of their favourite sweets, especially gujiyas.
