Nagpur: Yashodhara Nagar Police have arrested a youth for allegedly sexually assaulting a 15-year-old minor girl in the police station’s jurisdiction. According to police, the accused had befriended the girl through Instagram.
As per the complaint, the accused developed a friendship with the minor through social media and allegedly gained her trust during their conversations. He then reportedly took her out on the pretext of going for a visit.

The complaint alleges that the accused later sexually assaulted the minor at her residence. He also allegedly threatened her with serious consequences if she disclosed the incident to anyone.
Following a complaint by the minor’s family, Yashodhara Nagar Police registered a case under relevant sections of the law, including the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Police have arrested the accused and launched further investigation into the case.
