Nagpur: The city of Nagpur has come alive with the thundering beats of dhol-tasha, showers of gulal and chants of ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya, Pudchya Varshi Lavkar Ya’ as Ganesh Visarjan processions began on the occasion of Anant Chaturdashi.
Thousands of devotees have taken to the streets to bid an emotional farewell to Lord Ganesha, who was installed with great enthusiasm at homes and public Ganesh mandals across Nagpur.

Processions from various Ganesh mandals across the district have begun amid music, traditional dhol-tasha performances and devotional chants. The festive atmosphere has turned vibrant as devotees dance to the beats and participate in the celebrations.
The processions have also witnessed devotees showering gulal while dancing to the rhythmic beats of dhol and tasha. However, alongside the celebrations, many devotees were seen getting emotional while bidding farewell to their beloved Bappa.
Amid chants of ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya, Pudchya Varshi Lavkar Ya’, devotees are accompanying their idols towards the immersion sites. In view of the large-scale processions, the administration has made necessary arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the immersion celebrations.
