Nagpur: A bitter family dispute over an electricity bill and household expenses turned fatal in the Lakadganj area after a father-son confrontation allegedly escalated into a violent attack, leaving the father dead.
Lakadganj police have arrested Tushar Sahare for allegedly stabbing his father, Bablu Sahare, in the abdomen with a screwdriver following a heated altercation near Akash Building in the Gangabai Ghat area.

According to police, Bablu was allegedly under the influence of alcohol when an argument broke out over payment of the electricity bill and money required for household expenses. The dispute between the couple subsequently escalated into a confrontation between Bablu and his son Tushar.
Father allegedly strangled son during confrontation
Police said the argument turned violent, with Bablu allegedly assaulting Tushar and pressing his neck during the confrontation.
The situation reportedly spiralled further when Tushar allegedly retaliated and stabbed his father in the abdomen with a screwdriver.
Bablu sustained serious injuries in the attack and was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Nagpur, for treatment.
Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.
Complaint leads to arrest
Following the incident, Mamta Sahare approached Lakadganj police and lodged a complaint.
Police subsequently registered a case against Tushar Sahare and arrested him. Investigators are now examining the exact sequence of events that led to the fatal confrontation.
Police are also investigating the circumstances surrounding the alleged assault by the father and the subsequent stabbing by the son.

The incident has brought into focus how a seemingly routine dispute over household finances and utility expenses can escalate into extreme violence.
Lakadganj police are conducting further investigation into the case, including statements of family members and other circumstances surrounding the confrontation.
