Nagpur: A heartbreaking incident has come to light from the New Kamptee police station limits in Nagpur, where a mother and son allegedly attempted suicide following a family dispute. The son was found dead inside their residence, while the mother was rescued in an unconscious state and is currently undergoing treatment.

According to police, officers reached a house near the Ramnagar Railway Chowki after receiving complaints of a foul smell coming from the locked residence. Upon forcing the door open, they found the decomposed body of Suresh Govinda Bawne inside the house. His mother, Laxmibai Govinda Bawne, was lying unconscious on a nearby bed.

The woman was immediately shifted to the Kamptee Sub-District Hospital, where she remains under medical care.

During the preliminary investigation, police suspect that the mother and son attempted suicide due to an ongoing family dispute. Officials believe Suresh died nearly three days before the body was discovered, while his mother survived.

The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, and police have initiated a detailed investigation. The exact cause of death will be determined after the post-mortem report and further inquiry.
