Nagpur: On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, Second Beginning, in association with Women to Women Connect, organised an insightful mental health session titled “Finding Her Voice,” led by Dr. Rozina Rana, psychologist, life coach and TEDx speaker.
The session focused on encouraging women to express their emotions confidently, address emotional hurt and build healthier relationships through honest and respectful communication.
Dr. Rana highlighted how women often suppress their feelings to maintain family harmony, sometimes leaving emotional concerns unresolved. She emphasised the importance of addressing hurt at the right time rather than reacting impulsively or remaining silent.
She explained that speaking up is not about confrontation but about self-respect, emotional well-being and understanding one’s own needs. Participants were also encouraged to prioritise self-care, seek support when needed and make time for themselves while balancing family responsibilities.
The session witnessed enthusiastic participation and meaningful discussions, providing a supportive environment for women to share experiences and reflect on healthier ways to navigate emotional challenges.
The programme was initiated by Vidhi Jha, the guiding force behind Second Beginning, and conducted by Dr. Swati Giri. Core committee members Deepti Wakade, Dr. Harsha Jharia, Vandana Vyas, Surruchi and Bhawana Jain contributed to the successful organisation of the event.
The programme concluded with a powerful message: Every woman deserves to be heard, valued and emotionally supported—not just on World Mental Health Day, but every day.
