Nagpur: A suspected sex trade operation at a hotel in Nagpur has come under the scanner after a joint team of the Social Security Department and the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) conducted a raid at Hotel Royal Mansion in Pawanputra Nagar, under Hudkeshwar police station limits. Police arrested a 44-year-old woman, identified as Sameena Wasim Sheikh, for allegedly arranging a customer for an adult woman from Madhya Pradesh for commercial sex.

Police Lay Trap Using Decoy Customer
According to police, the accused allegedly lured women with promises of earning more money in a short period and arranged customers for them at different hotels.
After receiving information about the suspected activities, the police team planned a raid with the help of a decoy customer. Investigators said a photograph of the woman was allegedly shared with the customer over WhatsApp, following which a deal was reportedly finalised for ₹2,000.
A hotel room was subsequently booked. Police allege that Sameena Sheikh brought the woman to the room, where the waiting team conducted a raid and apprehended her.

According to the police, the rescued woman had arrived in Nagpur from Madhya Pradesh around a month earlier and was living in a rented room in the Hudkeshwar area.
She was rescued during the operation and handed over to Hudkeshwar police for further legal proceedings.
