Nagpur: Nagpur Police have cracked the sensational double murder case reported under the Sakkardara police station limits, arresting three key accused within hours of the crime. The operation was carried out jointly by Crime Branch Unit-05 and the Sakkardara Police.

According to police, two youths were brutally murdered near Gond Basti in the Raghuji Nagar area close to Chhota Tajbagh on Wednesday night. The victims have been identified as Aditya alias Sonu Bodwe and Dadu alias Aditya Rahalkar. Their blood-soaked bodies were found at the scene, triggering panic and shock among local residents.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the victims and the accused had been involved in a long-standing dispute related to a fruit shop, where issues arising from the termination of employment had reportedly created tensions between the two groups.

Police said that an argument broke out between the rival groups on the day of the incident. The confrontation soon escalated into a violent clash, during which the accused allegedly attacked the victims with stones, bricks, and a sharp-edged weapon. Both youths sustained fatal injuries and died on the spot. The accused fled the scene immediately after the attack.

Given the seriousness of the crime, a joint team of Crime Branch Unit-05 and Sakkardara Police launched an intensive investigation using technical evidence and intelligence inputs. Acting on specific information, police tracked down and arrested three main accused from the Gargoti Nala area in Wihirgaon.

The arrested accused have been identified as Vaibhav alias Dadu Pradeep Dongre, Vedant alias Dabba Ajay Dabir, and Abhishek alias Tatya Uttam Raut.

Following their arrest, the accused underwent medical examination and other legal formalities before being handed over to Sakkardara Police for further investigation.

Police officials said efforts are underway to determine the involvement of any additional suspects and to establish the complete sequence of events leading to the double murder.
