Nagpur: A shocking murder incident has once again raised concerns over rising violent crime in Nagpur. A 32-year-old man was brutally killed after unidentified attackers allegedly smashed his head with a stone in the MIDC police station limits.
The incident came to light near a dargah in the Isasani Madhavnagar area, creating panic among local residents.
The deceased has been identified as Ankush Kishor Shende (32), a resident of Panchsheel Nagar, Isasani. According to locals, Ankush was last seen roaming in the area between 4 pm and 5 pm. However, around 8 pm, residents discovered his blood-soaked body lying near the dargah and immediately alerted the police.
After receiving information, officials from the MIDC Police Station rushed to the spot and began an investigation. Preliminary findings suggest that the attackers fatally assaulted the victim by hitting him on the head with a stone.
Police conducted a panchnama at the crime scene and sent the body for postmortem examination.
The motive behind the murder is still unclear. MIDC Police have launched a search operation to trace the unidentified accused and further investigation is underway.
