Nagpur cops take spiritual route towards excellence; gets yoga, meditation training

A 3-day special workshop organised to boost the skills and spiritual development of police officials and employees concluded at newly set up Nagpur Cops Excellence Learning Centre here on Wednesday. International motivator Ketan Gawande came down from Mumbai to impart training to the cops. The key areas included in the training were stress management, skill development, health care, peace of mind and energy development. Besides, the policemen were also trained in yoga and meditation.

The workshop conducted from April 10 to April 12 was attended by 55 policemen including senior police inspectors of all police stations in Nagpur.

Gajanan Rajurkar of Dhantoli police station, Atul Gawande of crime branch and Mangala Bobde of New Kamptee police station were apparently enthusiastic after the workshop. They informed that workshop would not only enhance the work output of the cops but also improvise their overall health and state of mind.

City police commissioner Dr. Vyankateshan and Assistant Commissioner of Police Shivaji Bodkhe provided their guidance while women police sub inspector Kalpana Dhawane made special efforts towards success of the programme.
