Nagpur: Having premiered on 25th February, India’s No. 1 singing reality show for kids – Amul Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9 PM on Zee TV. The musical battle for the coveted trophy of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs this season began with the Top 15 singing prodigies being selected by mentors Himesh Reshammiya, Neha Kakkar and Javed Ali from across 27 cities in the country. For the first time, 30 jury members who are experts from the music fraternity, closely assess the aspiring singers. This platform has witnessed superb talent in the past and with this season, the benchmarks are only being set higher. Jury member Vaishali Made and contestant Shreyan Bhattacharya were in Nagpur recently to share their musical journey on India’s No. 1 singing reality show for kids.
Having won Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2009, Vaishali shot to fame as the singer of the chartbuster ‘Pinga’ from Bajirao Mastani. Excited to be in Nagpur to promote the latest season of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs Vaishali says, “I am blessed to be a part of India’s best and most credible singing talent hunt show for kids Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs. With a board of 30 jury members this season, the competition has become more challenging and tough, as each of us represents a different aspect of music – We have singers, music composers, lyricists, DJs, music arrangers and genre specialists amongst us, so each contestant gets evaluated from 30 different perspectives. I’m impressed with the kind of talent the season has unearthed, each contestant has the ability to touch our hearts with their unique voices. With each passing day, the challenge only gets tougher and we are certain that this season will set new benchmarks of excellence in singing for Indian television”. About contestant Shreyan, she adds, “Shreyan is a very strong contender. He is a versatile singer and his tonal quality is superb. Hailing from Kolkata, 11-year old Shreyan started singing when he was a toddler. Scared of his mother, Shreyan shares a very strong and special bond with his father. Shreyan aspires to become a playback singer. Having received great appreciation on his singing ability from the mentors, Shreyan is determined to go a long way on the show with his passion and perseverance. Shreyan says, “I’m truly fortunate to be a part of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs. And, the icing on the cake is the golden opportunity to learn under the guidance of our mentors and a panel of 30 eminent industry experts. The knowledge and exposure I’m gaining with my stint in the show is priceless. With each passing day, the competition is getting tougher, all of us are working hard to win the show. With the blessings of my family I have reached here, I want to make them really proud by winning the show”.
The earlier seasons made stars of some very talented kids like Azmat Hussain, Shreyasi Bhattacharjee, Hemant Brijwasi, Yatharth Ratnum, Abhigyan Das, Swarit Shukla, Gagan Gaonkar to name a few. The Top 12 contestants of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs are dazzling the entire nation with their unique voices and awe-inspiring attitude.
