Nagpur: Panic gripped residents of Ashtavinayak Empire in Wanadongri, Hingna area, after a venomous snake was spotted inside the kitchen of a flat on Tuesday morning. The snake was later found hiding inside the compressor section behind a refrigerator and was safely rescued by a local snake rescuer.
The incident took place at around 10:30 am at Flat No. 201 on the second floor of Ashtavinayak Empire, where Sarfaraz Sheikh lives with his family.

According to the information available, Sarfaraz entered the kitchen to drink water before leaving for work when he noticed the snake. The sight of the reptile caused panic among the family members.
Sarfaraz immediately contacted Sarpamitra Akash Meshram, who reached the spot and began searching the kitchen.
During the search, Akash discovered that the snake had entered the compressor section behind the refrigerator and was hiding there. He carefully removed the reptile and carried out a safe rescue operation.
The snake was identified as a cobra. After the rescue, it was taken to a safe location and released into the forest.
The family heaved a sigh of relief after the cobra was safely rescued without any untoward incident.
