
Nagpur: Panchpaoli police rescued seven cattle from a tin shed in the Farooq Nagar area of Nagpur on suspicion of illegal cattle trafficking. Acting on a tip-off, police raided the premises after receiving information that the animals had allegedly been tied up in inhumane conditions for transportation to a slaughterhouse.
The rescued cattle have been shifted to a cow protection centre in Dhantoli for their safety. The suspected individuals fled the scene before they could be apprehended.
Police Raid Following Secret Information
According to available information, a Panchpaoli police team was on patrol on Friday when it received a tip-off about cattle being kept in cruel conditions inside a tin shed in Farooq Nagar.
Police immediately reached the spot and conducted a raid, rescuing all seven cattle. However, the suspected individuals escaped after learning about the police action.
Search for Suspects Underway
The name of a person identified as Wasim Haq has reportedly surfaced in connection with the incident. However, his alleged involvement has not been officially confirmed.
