Nagpur: A four-year-old boy was seriously injured after being hit by a car allegedly being driven at high speed and negligently in the Kalamna police station area of Nagpur.
The injured child has been identified as Shivansh Sachin Deshmukh, who was playing outside his house in Teacher’s Colony on Bharatwada Road when the incident occurred.

According to police, the accident took place at around 4 am on September 23. The woman driving the car allegedly lost control while driving at high speed and hit the child.
The incident was captured on CCTV cameras. The footage reportedly shows the collision and the child falling onto the road. Shivansh sustained serious injuries to his head and other parts of his body.
The injured child was taken to Bhavani Hospital for treatment. According to the complaint, the woman driver allegedly left the hospital premises in her car after the treatment.
Following the incident, Shivansh’s father, Sachin Haribhau Deshmukh, along with a local corporator and other residents, approached Kalamna Police Station and staged a protest demanding action. The incident reportedly led to a tense situation at the police station for some time.
Based on the complaint, Kalamna Police registered a case against the woman driver under relevant sections. Police have seized the car and are investigating the incident further.
