In his address, Muttemwar said, “We are the owners of this nation. We have to utilize our right to vote. Voters vote but everybody doesn’t care about the country. Some specific people only take care of the nation. The nation has been transformed and developed with new technologies. Many websites like Google, Yahoo have brought people together. There is no substitute for hard work. The Google, Yahoo and other websites have been providing every information about the nation with a click of a mouse. But parents are a worried lot because there is no age limit to brows the Internet. This aspect is creating a bad effect on children. A specific information needed for the specific age is being denied and this fact is a worry for the parents. A staggering 66 per cent youngsters watch bad movies. Why this phenomenon? The answer is they do not read “Shyamchi Aayi.” The books like “Shyamchi Aayi” educate humanity.
“Today’s education is short of many finer aspects of life. The libraries are neglected by Government. The libraries have been starved of the Government-level assistance because the Government doesn’t sense reading a good subject. The Government and the people’s representatives must help the libraries. Today’s generation is being denied the reading opportunities. The latest technology and the TV channels have pushed the children from the reading culture. The children are becoming addicts to bad habits. The children should be given the books of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar and Mahatma Gandhi for reading so that they could learn about human values,” the Nagpur MP Vilas Muttemwar elaborated.
