Nagpur: The upcoming local body election is expected to witness some fireworks between two ruling coalition partners in the state government – BJP and Shiv Sena, thanks to the warring leaders on either sides pulling up each other to prove their supremacy. Taking serious note of this trend State Finance Sudhir Mungantiwar has cautioned the leaders at loggerheads about the forthcoming consequences owing to the war of words.

Speaking to the media people here Mungantiwar appealed the leaders to end the tussle to avoid any future political losses. He also cited the example of Congress and NCP which faced similar repercussions and hence had to remain out of power.

Hope of togetherness
Mungantiwar also exuded hopes that both BJP and Shiv Sena would contest the upcoming local body elections together. He said that bilateral meeting was also held in this regard in Mumbai in which top brass of both the parties discussed the possibilities of contesting unitedly. Both the parties arrived at an agreement in this regard and a consensus is being formed among the party workers. He also said that the chief minister has focussed on completion of development works and the same is going on at war footing level.

When asked about the ongoing opposition of Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in the wake of Uri terror attacks resulting into the repulsion of Pakistani artists, Mungantiwar steered clear that the matter has drawn to an end after the apology tendered by filmmaker Karan Johar. He also assured that adequate security would be provided during the release of the movie.
