Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath announces loan waivers for farmers and makes good its poll promise in the state. This is his first announcement after he was sworn in as the Congress party’s chief minister in the state today. Governor Anandiben Patel administered the oath of office to the Congress leader and invited him to form the new government in the state.
Those present at the swearing in ceremony included Rahul Gandhi, former prime minister Manmohan Singh, AICC general secretary Mallikarjun Kharge, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, his deputy Sachin Pilot, MPs Jyotiraditya Scindia, former Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah and Punjab minister Navjot Singh Sidhu.
