A man was killed and another injured when a speeding motorcycle hit them on Nagpur-Hyderabad Road on Thursday night.
The victims Devrao Bendre, resident of Sharda Square, Kamptee and Munivar Bhai, who is mechanic by profession, were going towards Kapsi Bridge on Nagpur-Hyderabad Road. Devrao’s truck (MH-40/L 1831) had developed snags and was parked there for repairs. When the repair work was going on, a speeding Hero Majestic Motorcycle (MH-49/L 3491), driven by an unidentified rider, hit Devrao and Munivar Bhai with intense force. Both received serious injuries and were rushed to Tarangan Hospital. However, Devrao died while undergoing treatment.
Kalamna PSI Dere, based on a complaint lodged by Nitin Devrao Bendre, registered an offence against the unidentified motorcycle rider under Sections 279, 337, 304(A) of IPC and searching him.
