Mobile shoppy owner assaulted with a razor, robbed of Rs 10000 in Jaripatka, two booked

Nagpur News: Police have booked two persons on the charges of assaulting a mobile phone shop owner with a sharp-edged weapon and robbing him of Rs 10,000 on Saturday. The incident occurred in Jaripatka area of the city.

According to police, the victim, Dinesh Kanhayyalal Lavarena (28), resident of Bezonbagh, Jaripatka, was sitting in his shop Gunjan Mobile Gallery, situated at Bara Kholi Square in Indora. At about 3.30 pm, the two accused Chhotu Deshbhratar (40) and Balu Chandrawardhan (35), both residents of Bara Kholi, Indora, barged into Dinesh’s mobile shop and attacked him with a razor and inflicted a bloody injury on his hand. The accused then forcibly snatched Rs 10,000 cash kept at the counter and fled the scene.

Jaripatka PSI Hanvate, acting on a complaint lodged by Dinesh Lavarena, booked both the accused Chhotu Deshbhratar and Balu Chandrawardhan under Sections 394, 34 of the IPC and searching them.
