Two mobike-borne youths snatched a mangalsutra worth Rs 35,000 from Gittikhadan Police Station on Friday night. Police informed that Sunita Ravindra Sharma (36), a resident of M B Town, Plot No. 18, Zingabai Takli, had gone to market with her husband. While coming back, two mobike-borne youths on pulsar bike came from behind and the pillion snatched mangalsutra from Sunita. Before Sunita or her husband could raise an alarm, the youths sped away.
On the complaint of Sunita, a case of chain snatching was registered at Gittikhadan Police Station under Sections 392 and 34 of the IPC, informed PI Chakshupal Bahadure. PSI Munde is investigating the case further.
