Pune: In yet another incident, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) workers were seen thrashing a movie theatre manager in Pune yesterday. The MNS worked abused and beat the movie theatre manager during a protest over high prices of food items in the theatre.

MNS worker Kishor Shinde who was seen thrashing the movie theatre manager over high price charges of food items in the movie hall has come out with a clarification. Shinde said that popcorn worth Rs. 5 is being sold at Rs. 250, further adding that Bombay High Court has already said reduction in price was needed. Shinde said,”We told manager to read news reports, he said don’t know how to read Marathi. Then we dealt with him MNS style.”

The workers slapped the manager of the movie theatre and also called him names further saying that he was a shirker.

This isn’t the first time that MNS workers had been involved in such an incident. Last week, four MNS workers were booked, and out of them two were arrested for allegedly vandalising a restaurant in Mahim and thrashing one of the restaurant’s staff after being refused free drinks.

The alleged workers also didn’t pay the bill and argued with other customers and got into a heated argument with the staff who tried to intervene.

The four accused who were quite drunk finally left the restaurant without paying the bill but returned later to the restaurant after fifteen minutes and started destroying the premises with hockey sticks.
