Missing city woman found dead at Mansar

Nagpur News: A married woman who had gone missing from city a day before was found in immolated condition in front of Mansar police chowky on Sunday morning. Neema Nandeshwar was alive when cops found her burning near a tree, opposite to police chowky. She was declared dead after few hours at rural government hospital.

Police said that Neema had last left her home at Sugat Nagar on Saturday evening for a vegetable market nearby but didn’t return. Her husband, Arvind, a teacher at Zilla Parishad School in Tarsa, filed a missing complaint on the same evening at Jaripatka police station.

Next morning around 9, police found her in immolated condition. A kerosene can was also found nearby. Police said that a phone diary was found in her purse that helped them to contact her relatives. The body was later handed over to her family. Neema’s son Parag is a twelfth standard student while younger daughter Parag studies in ninth class.

Family members told police that Neema was a bit mentally unstable and was undergoing treatment. Police are investigating how Neema reached Mansar and whether she set herself ablaze or was killed.
