Kotwali police arrested a middle-aged man for allegedly molesting a minor girl and creating hurdles in the police investigations.
According to police, the accused Pramod Maheshchandra Nayak (36), a resident of Killa Road, Mahal owns a stationery shop in the same area. On Thursday, 10-year-old daughter of the complainant went to buy scarp paper from culprit’s shop. Pramod passed indecent gestures towards the girl and molested her. Later, the accused put up a quarrel with the complainant. He used foul language and hit the complainant. The accused also prevented the cops from investigations by misleading them.
On basis of the complaint, Kotwali police arrested Pramod and slapped charges under Sections 353, 354 (a) (2), 323, and 504 of the IPC.
