Nagpur: After investigating the accident that occurred in Ambedakar Sqaure, two executive engineers have been suspended. Also, ITD Cementation Company and AGIES, to which the engineers belonged, have been fined for Rs. 10 lakh and Rs. 2 lakh respectively for carelessness in construction works. The details of treatment of the affected family were also analysed by the officials.
After the accident, Dr. Brijesh Dixit, Managing Director, Mahametro had established an investigation committee. The report revealed carelessness in the construction. The meeting, in which the report was disclosed, was conducted in the presence of Mahesh Kumar, Director (Project) and Anil Kokate Managing Director (Administration). Various important decisions related to the security and safety was also taken in the meeting. Several officers concerned with the metro were also present in the meeting.
