Nagpur: Body of a 30-year-old man was found floating in Futala Lake on Friday. It was first spotted by the local residents, who informed the police.
On getting information, Ambazari police reached the spot, fished out the body and sent it to Government Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem. The deceased has been identified as Nilesh Sontakke, resident of Gittikhadan.
According to the police sources, Nilesh was reportedly under mental stress and was undergoing counselling and was on medication for a quiet some time. Cops feel that unable to cope up with the stress might have prompted Nilesh to take the extreme step.
Police have registered a case of accidental death and are conducting further investigations into the matter.
