Nagpur: Two minor girls were molested in broad day light on Thursday in two separate incidents under the jurisdiction of MIDC and Gittikhadan police stations.
In the first incident reported under MIDC police station, a 13-year-old girl accompanied by her female friend had gone for a walk behind CRPF Gate No. 15 on Thursday. At around 12.30 pm, a group of unidentified youth approached them on a bike, forcefully held the girl’s hand and misbehaved with her.
Mother and brother of the girl present nearby rushed to her preventing the accused from committing any heinous act. The accused then zoomed away from the spot.
The victim along with her mother and brother then went to the MIDC police station and filed a complaint against the unidentified accused.
In a similar incident, a 10-year-old was molested by her neighbour between 12-12.30pm on Thursday.
Gittikhadan police have booked accused indentified as Avesh in this connection.
All the accused have been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Sub-Section of POCSO Act 2012. Further investigations are on.
