Nagpur: Mayor Pravin Datke, West Nagpur MLA Sudhakar Deshmukh, Chairman of Standing Committee Narendra Borkar and other officials on Monday visited Ambajhari and Futala Lakes and reviewed arrangements being made by NMC for Chhat Puja.
The Mayor first sought detailed information about arrangements for celebration of Chhat Puja and then directed the concerned officials to ensure that the devotees are provided with all facilities and did not face any difficulty. The NMC has made arrangements of pandal, barricading, ground leveling, lighting, drinking water supply, cleanliness etc.
Deputy Mayor inspects Gorewada, Police Line Takli Lakes:
The Deputy Mayor Munna Pokulwar on Monday visited Gorewada and Police Line Takli Lakes and reviewed the preparations being made by NMC for Chhat Puja. The Deputy Mayor directed the officials to clean the entire premises of wild shrubs, grass and level the ground with the help of JCB machines. He also directed to make arrangements of drinking water tankers, garbage bins, drums for collecting “Nirmalya,” halogen bulbs, and other basic facilities.
Several Corporators, NMC officials accompanied Mayor Datke, Deputy Mayor Munna Pokulwar during their visits to Ambajhari, Futala, Gorewada, Police Line Takli lakes.
