Nagpur: The Mayor Nanda Jichkar, Deputy Mayor Deepraj Pardikar and other personalities paid handsome tributes to the First Teacher Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule on her 120th death anniversary today.
Mayor Jichkar garlanded the oil portrait of the great social reformer at her chamber in the Central Office of Nagpur Municipal Corporation while paying her tribute. Other dignitaries present on the occasion include Founder of Akhil Bharatiya Sthanik Swarajya Sanstha Jayant Pathak, Aprup Adapadkar, Green Vigil Foundation’s Kaustub Chatterjee, Surabha Jaiswal, NMC Employees Union’s Rajesh Hathibed, Superintendent Vilas Fadnavis, PRO Ashok Kolhatkar, Rajendra Bhandarkar, Assistant PRO Pradeep Khardenavis, Dilip Tandle, Dr Mamata Khandekar, Dr Amruta Anand, Naresh Khare and others.
