Nagpur News: Hordes of eminent citizens and massive crowd of people thronged at Darda House at Rahate Colony on Sunday morning to pay homage to the bereaved Lokmat Sakhi Manch President Jyotsna Darda, who passed away on Saturday evening following prolonged illness. Wife of Vijay Darda, Chairman of Lokmat Media Pvt. Ltd, Jyotsna breathed her last at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai.
Tearful Adieu – Vijay Darda, Chairman, Lokmat Media Ltd. could not hold his heart cry out as he extended his emotional touch to his deceased wife.
She was brought to Nagpur in the wee hours of Sunday by a special aircraft. Her body has been kept for last darshan at Darda House from 9 to 11 in the morning. Later, Jyotsna Darda’s body was taken to Yawatmal, where her body would be kept for darshan from 2 pm to 4.30 pm at Darda Udyan, where her last rites would be performed at 5 pm.

Such was the turnout of people at Vijay Darda’s house that the entire stretch from Lokmat Square to his residence remained cluttered with four wheelers queued up by the roadside. All the prominent industrialists, socialites and political leaders visited his house to express their condolence. Mukul Wasnik, Prafull Patel, Rajendra Mulak, Sagar Meghe, Vilas Muttemwar, Nitin Gadkari and Banwarilal Purohit were among the many who visited the place.
Emotional Click-Vijay Darda experienced moments of emotional breakdown as he desperately clicked for the snap shot of his departed wife’s garland decorated picture.
Besides Commissioner of Police Pathak, Joint CP Sanjay Saxena, NIT Chairman Pravin Darade and host of bureaucrats also arrived to express their grief.
A pall of gloom prevailed as the grieved husband caressed his bereaved wife. Vijay Darda could not hold his heart cry out for his beloved wife and was seen giving a blessed touch to the departed soul. His wife had always been an inspiration for many beautiful things in his life. The bereaved soul has also left behind her son Devendra Darda, daughter in law Purva and other members in the family.

Jyotsna Darda was admitted to Breach Candy hospital last month where her condition continuously deteriorated. She reportedly suffered from multiple organ failure before she breathed her last. The doctors did all efforts in the last minute to save her but all went in vain.
Jyotsna Darda was born on June 18, 1952 in Jalgaon in the famous Jain family. Suresh Dada Jain is her elder brother.
