Nagpur: A group of around eight youths allegedly created panic in Taj Nagar, Mankapur, by roaming on motorcycles while openly brandishing swords and knives late Sunday night.
According to the complaint, the incident began after a local dispute involving Rahul Katote and Billu Khan. Katote allegedly called Sonu Pillewar to the area to settle the matter. Pillewar, a resident of KT Nagar, Gittikhadan, later arrived with his associates and allegedly began searching for Billu while carrying weapons.
The group continued moving through the locality on motorcycles, allegedly threatening residents with the weapons.
Rakib Khan, 65, Billu Khan’s father, told police that he came outside after hearing a commotion and was allegedly threatened by three youths carrying swords.
Following his complaint, Mankapur police registered a case. Police said most of the accused are yet to be arrested and further investigation is underway.
