According to reports, the deceased has been identified as Ravindra Ruprao Kurekar (31), native of Narkhed in Nagpur District. Ravindra Kurekar was working as a technician in Nagpur’s Chaturvedi College. He used to travel by a bus from Narkhed to Nagpur Bus Stand and from there to college by bicycle. On Thursday morning, Ravindra Kurekar, as usual, was riding on his bicycle for going to the college and then to distribute the ‘Griha Pravesh’ invitation cards. However, the destiny had other plans. When Ravindra reached near Ghat Road Square, a rashly driven 10-wheeler truck (CG-04/JA 4935) hit his bicycle with forceful impact. As a result, Ravindra came directly under the wheels of the truck and was crushed to death on the spot. Ganeshpeth police, who were informed about the incident, rushed to the spot and arrested the driver of the killer truck. The accident site showed a gory sight with Ravindra lying in a pool of blood and his brain splattered all over the road.

Ironically, the deceased Ravindra Kurekar had recently constructed his new house and was distributing invitation cards for ‘Griha Pravesh’ ceremony to be held on November 23. When police checked Ravindra’s bag for probe purpose, it was filled with invitation cards.
