Nagpur: Panchpaoli Police have arrested a man who was allegedly found carrying a sharp-edged knife during patrolling in the area. Police also recovered two stolen Activa scooters allegedly linked to vehicle theft cases in Jaripatka.
The accused has been identified as Harshal alias Harshu Mukesh Tabhane. According to police, he already has several cases registered against him, including vehicle theft and house-breaking.

Caught During Police Patrolling
The incident took place near Motibagh Railway Crossing in the Panchpaoli Police Station area. A police team was conducting routine patrolling when Tabhane was allegedly spotted moving around suspiciously on a moped.
Police stopped him and conducted a search, during which a knife was allegedly recovered from his possession. The moped was also seized and was found to be a stolen vehicle reported in a vehicle theft case registered at Jaripatka Police Station.
Second Stolen Vehicle Recovered
During questioning, police allegedly obtained information about another stolen two-wheeler. Acting on the information provided by the accused, police recovered the second vehicle.
The two recovered vehicles are collectively valued at around ₹1.55 lakh, according to police.
Police said Tabhane has previous cases registered against him at Panchpaoli, Jaripatka, Hingna, Gittikhadan, Hudkeshwar and Sakkardara police stations. The cases reportedly include vehicle theft and house-breaking.
Further investigation is underway.
