Nagpur: A greedy man not only indulged in unnatural sex with his wife sex but also inflicted a serious head injury when the woman rejected his demand to bring Rs 5 lakh and an Activa scooter as dowry. The demonic husband has been arrested.
According to police, the 28-year old woman is married with the accused Laxminarayan Chandrashekharprasad Pande (28). Soon after their marriage, from 10.05.2013 to 29.10.2014, Laxminarayan started harassing his wife for not giving him Rs 5 lakh and an Activa as dowry. As if mental torture was not enough, Laxminarayan set on intolerable methods of physical ordeal to his wife. He forced her to have unnatural sex on umpteen times. But on Tuesday, when the hapless woman refused to meet Laxminarayan’s unnatural demand, the enraged husband smashed her head on the wall inflicting a deep injury. This inhuman act of Laxminarayan prompted the tormented woman to immediately lodge a police complaint.
Gittikhadan PSI Kedare, taking cognizance of the complaint, booked Laxminarayan Chandrashekharprasad Pande under Sections 324, 377, 498(A) of the IPC and Sections 3, 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act 1961 and placed him under arrest. Further probe is underway.
