Nagpur: A man has been booked by Bajaj Nagar Police in Nagpur for allegedly molesting a woman after luring her to a secluded location on the false promise of marriage.
According to police, the 34-year-old complainant came in contact with the accused, identified as Pritam Lavankar, through an online life partner platform. The two became acquainted and met several times.

The woman alleged that on May 17, the accused called her to an isolated spot under the jurisdiction of Bajaj Nagar Police Station. She claimed that he promised to marry her and then allegedly behaved in an obscene manner and attempted to outrage her modesty. When she resisted, an argument broke out and both left the spot.
The complainant further alleged that she later discovered the accused was involved with another woman. When she confronted him, he allegedly abused her verbally.
Based on the woman’s complaint, Bajaj Nagar Police have registered a case against the accused under relevant sections and initiated an investigation.
Police said further legal action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
